During his 19-year-long career at ESPN, Ed covered all the NFL news including Sunday NFL Countdown, Monday Night Countdown, NFL Live, and SportsCenter. It came as a total shock when he was among the 100 on-air reporters and personalities laid off by ESPN in 2017.

Following his ESPN exit, Ed joined Westwood One radio during the 2017 NFL season as a sideline NFL reporter. As per the reports, the sports reporter enjoys a whopping net worth of $19 million.  

Married Life: Wife, Daughter

The veteran TV reporter is married to his high-school girlfriend, Jill Werder.  However, as Ed likes to keep his off-screen life on a low key, not much information of his beautiful wife can be carved out from media platforms.

Ed has two children with his wife: a son and a daughter. His daughter, Christie Werder married her long-haul boyfriend, Trey Bomar in June 2012. Christie, who fought with a brain tumor since her young age of 12, postponed the brain surgery to marry Trey.

When Christie survived the life-threatening disease after nearly a 9-hour surgery in August 2012, the couple seemed fresh to carry their new married life. But, the gods had another plan. Trey was diagnosed with cancer in 2014. Despite receiving intensive care for two years, Trey failed to get past the disease.
